The 2012 edition of our Woodworker’s Challenge was the largest to date with 39 projects entered. We had 28 members enter projects with 2 entering 3 projects and 7 entering 2 projects.
Furniture – 10 entries – 1st place to Terry Dote with half moon table of mahogany & veneers with ballerina legs
Accessories – 5 entries – 1st place to Jason Wrench for his maple & walnut jewelry box with a 40 piece inlay of cherry blossoms
Turned Projects – 6 entries – 1st place to Mel Taber for his maple hollow vessel with brown ebony finial
Scrolled Projects – 7 entries – 1st place to Bob Henry for his painted & mounted floral fretwork of ash
Toys – 3 entries – 1st place to Bruce Meissner for his maple & walnut front-end loader
What-Not – 8 entries – 1st place to Bernd Krause for his walnut, spruce, & bubinga dulcimer
