The Scrolling Workshop was a tremendous success! It was our first time using the new meeting hall at Canton Woods Senior Center in Baldwinsville. The workshop was set up nicely, first getting into the history of scrolling then progressing to the actual scrolling examples provided by Barb, Charlie, Phyllis and Ed. Check out the photo’s!

The Saturday Februrary 16th Post-Standard features our own Barbara Raymond in the Home & Garden section of the morning paper. You can see Barb in her workshop at the scroll saw. The article also features other local woodworkers. The article gives the SWWA great visibility, hopefully other local woodworkers will think about joining the SWWA! Looking good Barb!

The Router Basics Workshop is our very first Weekend Workshop. The majority of the class was made up of those whom never used a router. After the class some of them put their newly learned craft to work by putting an edge profile on a scroll work stand for example. “The Router Doctor” not only showed numerous techniques, but also showed them how to safely opertate their routers. Check out the photo’s!
