Valuable information for your woodworking endeavors can be obtained through many sources including organizations other than SWWA.  Here are a few.  Of course, hard copy magazines also have some great information.  Current publications of relevance are listed.

Finger Lakes Woodtuners- The woodturning club for the Rochester & Finger Lakes area.

International Wood Collectors Society - An interesting group where you can learn tons!

Northeast Woodworkers Association - Large woodworking club in the Albany, NY area.

Northeast Woodworkers Association Showcase Event - Large woodworking show in Saratoga NY. The best woodworking show in the east.

Northeast Woodworkers Association Totally Turning Event - Large woodworking show in Saratoga NY. The best woodworking show in the east.

The Rochester Woodworkers Society - Rochester based woodworking club.

Scrollsaw Association of the World (SAW) - The site for all things Scrollsaw & a good group to join

American Woodworker - Many early American projects

British Woodworking - A magazine that promotes British craftsmanship, British timber and British innovation focusing on hand skills.

Canadian Home Workshop - A different perspective but great projects

Carving Magazine - Excellent source of information on the carving genre of woodworking.

Creative Woodworks & Crafts - Parent company went bankrupt 8/8/14 so magazine no longer published

Fine Tool Journal - Woodworking tools and tool collector information

Fine Woodworking - Real nice site, tips, projects, videos

Living Woods Magazine - A magazine for anyone interested in trees, woodlands and timber.

More Woodturning 40 page magazine issues 10 times per year about woodturning.

Scrollsaw Woodworking & Crafts - Excellent source of project ideas, patterns, and other information on the scrolling world
